教学目标:
1 认知目标
使学生牢固掌握问路的基本句型 can you tell me the way to…? how can i get to…? 及其答句。
2 情感目标
通过各种教学手段,如唱歌、小组合作、交流等激发他们学习英语的兴趣和热情,体验成功的快乐,注重培养学生自信、有礼、善于交际的优良品质。
3 能力目标
通过大量的语言实践活动, 让英语成为学生进行交际的一种技能,并在交际中培养他们的自信心和口语表达能力。
教学难点和重点:
使学生能灵活运用问路的不同方式,并能根据实际情况作出正确的回答。
教学过程:
step 1  warming up
1. greetings
t: good morning, boys and girls.
s: good morning, miss yang.
2. duty talk
questions: a. who’s the tallest student in our class?
           b. who’s the strongest student in our class?
           c. who’s the cleverest student in our class?
t: now, let’s play a game to see who is the cleverest, ok?
  game: turn left and right
s: (do it quickly.)
step 2  presentation & revision
t: spring is coming. the whether is getting warmer. do you want to go outing? i know a beautiful place. let’s go and have a look.
cai: (show a picture of a town.)
t: this is a part of the small town. is it beautiful?  (yes.)
   what can you see in the town?  (i can see…)
   where is the park?  ( it’s between the train station and the toilet.)
   where is the shopping centre? (i don’t know.)
t: here is a short passage, please read it carefully, and then tell me what these places are. discuss in groups.
cai: (show a passage.)
the shopping centre is in the middle. the history museum is between the bus stop and the post office. the primary school is on the right of the post office. the middle school is on the left of the toilet. there is a policeman at the first crossing of apple street, and the bus is at the second crossing.

  ask s1: can you tell me the way to the park?
 ( teach “along”) write on the blackboard

t: now, jim is at the park. then he wants to go to the toilet. can you tell him the way to the toilet?

t: then, he wants to go to the history museum and the primary school. do you know how to ask the way and how to answer? please work in pairs.
s: practise in pairs.
step 4  practice
t: you did very well. i have some presents for you. if you want to get the presents, you should tell me the way to your seat. ok?
cai: show a picture of children’s seats.
t: let’s regard this way as apple street, and this way as pear street.
  this way is orange steet and this way is banana street.
  who wants to try?
s: come to the front and tell the teacher the way to his or her seat.
  ( go along apple street, and then….)
  if s can say the way correctly, t will give him or her a notebook.
step 5 part d
t: (送出三本之后) i have no presents now. i’ll ask jim to buy some for me. where’s jim?
cai: (show jim)
t: where can he buy the presents?
s: in the shopping centre.
t: but he doesn’t know the way to the shopping centre.
cai: (show the root)
t: can you tell him the way?
ss: answer it together.
t: oh, it’s a long way. how can he get there faster?
s: he can take a bus.
t: which bus?
 let’s listen to the dialogue between jim and yangling.
s: listen and then answer the questions.
