解，compare with是具体的比较，而compare to是抽象譬喻，意思是“把……比作”，
或“说……像”。例如：
Compared to many children, she was indeed very fortunate.和许多孩子比起来。她确实是很运气的。
Shakespeare compared the world to a stage. 莎士比亚把人世比作舞台。
It was a small place then compared to/with what it is now.和现在比起来，那时它还是个小地方。
Sugar production rose 30% compared to the first three months of this year. 和今年头二个月相比，糖产量提高了30%。
compared to/with常在句中作状语，表示，“与……比起来”，这时它是过去分词短语，位于句首或句尾均可。

注意与stop to do sth的区别。这一短语是“停止一事，去干另一事”的意思。
