Content: Lesson fifteen

Properties: Overhead projector, recorder

Teaching Objectives:
  Student should be able to use the comparatives and superlatives correctly and fluently, and complete the article.

Language FOCUS:
  1. Review the comparatives and superlatives.

  2. Gerund as subject
   ① help sb with sth
    eg. The teacher is helping the students with their maths.
   ② like doing sth.
    eg. I don' t like getting up very early.
   ③ Doing sth is …
    eg. Eating too much is bad for you
    Collecting stamps is an easy hobby.

Teaching procedures:
 I. Organizing the class
  Greeting and a duty report.

 II. Revision
  1. To talk about the country life.
  2. To talk about the city life.
  3. Show the pictures for them to compare.
   The car goes faster than the bike.
   The train goes faster than the car.
   The plane goes faster than the train.
   So the plane goes fastest of all.

 III. Practice
  Students talk about the farm work they can do, write the jobs on the board "feed the animal, pick corn (wheat, etc), grow corn (wheat, etc)" Then they talk about who can do the most work, use the dialogue in the book as a model.
  Give more phrases for them to use "have books" "get home early" "eat much" "run fast" "have a good time", etc.

 IV. Leading - in

 V. Read and complete
  Students do the exercise themselves and then check the answers
